A WEYMOUTH man has tragically died during a stag weekend in Budapest.

Paul Bush, from Westham, is believed to have been with a group celebrating the upcoming marriage of a friend from Weymouth.

Friends paid tribute to hugely popular Mr Bush.

The former Wey Valley and Weymouth College student was with several friends in the Hungarian capital.

The Foreign Office has confirmed that it has been informed of the death of a British national and is currently liaising with the consulate in Budapest to investigate the death.

A spokesman for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: “We are aware of the death of British national in Budapest, Hungary.

“We are in contact with the family and are providing consular assistance.”

It is believed that he died on Friday night. The cause of death is not clear at this stage.

It is believed that the group was due to travel back to the UK yesterday.

The city is a popular stag party destination with several companies offering organised weekends.

Mr Bush, who was engaged to be married, was a satellite TV installer at Tune In Aerials based in Westham and was a keen cricketer involved with the Portland Red Triangle Cricket Club.
