CATTISTOCK Church Harvest Festival takes place at 11am on Sunday September 14, followed by a sale of produce and Sunday lunch at the Fox and Hounds.

Please bring gifts of produce to the church on Saturday morning.

FROME St Quintin will celebrate harvest on Sunday September 28 with a service at 11am. The church will be decorated with harvested foods that have been processed for a long life and these will then be packed up and donated to a local charitable organisation.

After the morning service there will be a finger buffet and liquid refreshments at a cost of £5 per head in aid of church funds.

THERE will be a Harvest Supper in the Barn at Frome Vauchurch by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Blazeby on Saturday September 20, beginning at 6.30pm.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for children. This includes drinks on arrival, a two-course meal, wine, cheese and biscuits, and coffee. Please bring your own cutlery.

MELBURY Osmond Village Hall is the venue for a Harvest Supper on Saturday September 27.

THE NEXT Evershot Village Coffee Morning takes place at 26 Fore Street from 11am on Friday September 12, courtesy of David and Pat Stobart.

ZOE Schwarz (2014 British Blues Awards Nominee) will bring her very popular band, Blue Commotion Band, to the Savill Hall in Cattistock on Saturday September 13.

The event begins at 7.30pm and tickets will cost £10 (including supper). They are already on sale locally and you are advised to buy early to help with the catering and to avoid disappointment.

THERE will be a recital by the acclaimed harpist Danielle Perrett at 7.30pm on Saturday September 13 in Melbury House (by kind permission on The Hon. Mrs Charlotte Townshend).

MELBURY MEN’s Breakfast will hold their next meeting on Saturday, September 20 , when the speaker will be Ollie Peet, talking about mercy ships.

Meetings are held at the Southern Counties Shooting Club Cafe on Wardon Hill (A37), starting at 8.30am and finishing at around 9.45am. The cost of the breakfast is £7.
