DORSET Blind Association is inviting people with visual impairments to have a go at goalball.
The sport, which featured in the Paralympics, sees players throwing a ball containing bells towards the opposite team’s goal to score.
Every player wears a protective eye mask rendering them equally blind and elbow and knee pads.
In association with Goalball UK and Active Dorset, the charity is holding tasters sessions in the sports hall at Bournemouth University’s Talbot Campus on Saturday, September 6 between 1pm and 3pm.
Anyone who would like to get involved either as a player or a volunteer should contact Judy on 07748212009, Dorset Blind Association on 01202712865, or email judybannon@dorsetblind.org.uk.
