SAKURA is a Japanese-style bar on Richmond Hill which opened its doors last month offering a cocktail menu with a twist As well as classics such as the Bellini, Mojito and Cosmopolitan, there is a range of more exotic blends with a distinctly Japanese flavour.

Favourites include Sake Snap – butterscotch flavoured sake, butterscotch schnapps and Amarula shaken with hazelnut syrup, cream and milk, and Cherry Blossom from the sharers menu – Luxardo amaretto and cherry liquor, blended with lemon and cranberry juices. Give these recipes a whirl.

Cherry blossom 37.5ml Luxardo Amaretto 12.5ml Cherry Brandy 50ml cranberry juice 10ml lemon juice Martini glass Few ice cubes 1 x cherry Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker with a few cubes of ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled Martini glass – you should have a pink foam. Drop a cherry into the glass as a garnish Good time geisha 50ml Zubrówka vodka 25ml Funkin passion fruit purée 25ml Funkin peach purée?

50ml apple juice 25ml Champagne glass or tumbler Cubed & crushed ice Half passion fruit 2 x black bendy straws Shake all ingredients except champagne in a cocktail shaker.

Pour into glass, top with champagne, cap with ice.
