FOODIES turned out to sample an array of culinary delights at the Wessex Food Festival.
The event at Weymouth College saw the best of West Country produce on offer across more than 60 stands throughout Saturday and Sunday.
Visitors were able to enjoy live music from the likes of the Legomen and help raise funds for good causes such as the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust. The college square featured a food court where people were able to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch.
Organiser Lydnsay Howell said the event enjoyed a steady stream of visitors on the Saturday, with numbers boosted by the Challenge Weymouth event on Sunday.
She said: “I think all the stallholders seem quite happy and we have had a fantastic atmosphere with the live music. It’s gone quite well and we are quite pleased with it.”
The food festival is in its third year and boasted a host of food stalls.
These included an array of cheeses, oils, breads, cakes and much more while there were also a number of food related stands selling ceramics, place mats, coasters and other items.
