DORSET bus operator First Wessex is driving up support for charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support by donating more than £17,000 worth of advertising space on its fleet of 78 buses.
The donation will raise awareness of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning this September, and is made as part of First’s partnership with the charity.
The coffee morning will see thousands of people host events in their homes, offices, and communities on Friday, September 26.
General manager of First Wessex Simon Newport said: “I’m very pleased that our buses are helping to raise public awareness of a fantastic charity that helps thousands of people every year.
“At First Wessex, we are proud to encourage our local community to join us, brew up and bake to raise money, and help Macmillan support people affected by cancer and their families.
“I hope our support of Macmillan will contribute towards a record-breaking number of coffee mornings.”
