DORCHESTER’S Grove Pre-School Playgroup had a garden makeover during the summer break thanks to a team from the J.P. Morgan ‘Good Works’ Community volunteer programme.
Cheryl Graham, Playgroup Co-ordinator said: “The Playgroup garden is well used at every session, but by clearing areas and replacing old fencing and boundaries new spaces were created to improve the opportunities for free play in the outdoors.
“The children now have den areas to explore, a fresh woodchip surface with beams to balance on around the climbing frame, a wooden fort effect around the mud pit, and a fantastic composting area to learn about recycling and mini beasts.
“The new look to the garden has been so exciting for the children and provides a stimulating environment for their play and development.”
J.P. Morgan employs 4,000 people at its technology and operations centre in Bournemouth and has a strong history of community engagement To find out more about the Grove Pre-School Play Group phone 01305 266766 or email thegroveplaygroup@btconnect.com
