A CYCLING company from West Dorset is feeling electric after being shortlisted in this year’s Dorset Tourism Awards.

Jurassic Electric Bike Adventures has been announced as one of three finalists in the Best Tourism Activity, Sport and Experience category in the awards.

The company provides electric cycles to customers before taking them on cycling tours through some of the most scenic parts of west and south Dorset.

Martin Gershon, owner of Jurassic Electric Bike Adventures said: “We are incredibly pleased to have been selected as one of the finalists at this year’s awards.

“We feel that in part this is a reflection of the generous feedback we’ve received from guests who have experienced one of our unique electric bike guided tours. Electric bikes are transforming cycling, opening it up to people regardless of their age or level of fitness.

“West Dorset has some incredible landscapes and the electric motor on our amazing machines provides the extra power to allow both visitors to the area and local residents to thoroughly enjoy their ride.”

The finalists in the competition will attend an awards ceremony on October 16 at Bovington Tank Museum, with the winners automatically considered for the South West Tourism Excellence Awards in February.
