WRITER James Runcie has been confirmed on the line-up for the 10th Bridport Literary Festival, which is due to take place in November.
Son of the former Archbishop of Canterbury, the late Robert Runcie, he will be talking about his series of six detective stories featuring a clerical sleuth.
This week ITV launched the series of six thrillers based on his novels, known as the Grantchester Mysteries, and set in the city of Cambridge during the 1960s.
James Norton plays the part of the clergyman-sleuth and Robson Green, his Geordie sidekick. Runcie will be speaking at the upcoming Bridport Literary Festival on the morning of November 13 at the Electric Palace under the title of Secrets, Sermons, and Satan. The Bridport Literary Festival runs from November 9 - 16.
Tickets are available through the Bridport Tourist Information Centre on 01308 424 901. Full details of this year’s festival programme are available on bridlit.com
