THREE vehicles have been involved in a crash on the A35.
The crash has blocked the road in both directions between Chideock and Lyme Regis and emergency services are on scene.
There is also a fuel spillage on the road which will be dealt with by the Highways Agency. Motorists should expect delays for some time for recovery to take place.
Police were called to the scene at just after 11am to the collision along the westbound carriageway.
The crash involved a red Volskwagen Golf registered to a woman from Weymouth, a blue Volkswagen Polo registered to a man from Barnstable and a black Nissan Patrol registered to a man from the Isle of Wight.
The driver of the Golf was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Dorset County Hospital.
Traffic is queuing in both directions near to the Tizard's Knap junction, Morecombelake.
