Traffic on Dorchester Road is now flowing after a two-car collision this afternoon partially blocked the road.  

Dorset Police said they were called to a crash involving two cars just before 3.30pm.

The collision involved a silver Ford Mondeo registered to a man from Weymouth and a silver Mazda Premacy registered to a woman from Weymouth. 

South Western Ambulance service said they initally believed there were six casualties including three children, but having checked the individuals over they said no-one needed to go to hospital.

They said an ambulance and rapid response vehicle attended the scene.

Dorchester Road has now been cleared.
