POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man’s car was stolen overnight.

A car was stolen from outside a property in Kitchener Road on Sunday evening - despite the fact the owner still had the keys.

A white Nissan Primera, registration J909 URX, was taken at some time between 2am and 6.30am on Sunday, October 27.

Dorset Police are now appealing for witnesses.

Police Constable Will Conroy, of Weymouth and Portland police, said: “This vehicle was left locked and secure by the owner overnight.

“He woke in the morning to discover his car had been stolen. The owner still had possession of his keys.

“I would like to hear from anyone who has any information about this incident or has seen a vehicle matching the description to contact the police as soon as possible.”
