POLICE are appealing for information after a ‘large quantity’ of gardening and power tools were stolen from a locked van near Blandford.
Officers are investigating a theft from a locked and secure Peugeot Partner van in Stourpaine near Blandford.
The theft is believed to have taken place between 5.30pm on Tuesday and 5.50am on Wednesday and Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.
Police Constable Richard Cooke, of Blandford police, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact Dorset Police. I would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen a van or a large car in suspicious circumstances in the area of Stourpaine during the relevant time.
“Anyone who has been offered such items for sale via social media or locally for unusually low prices or in suspicious circumstances should also call police.”
Witnesses and anyone with information are advised to call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 19:47.
