A WEYMOUTH store is urging its customers to fill up their donation bin for this year’s toy appeal.
Value House, in Wyke Regis, is one of many businesses in the area which has placed a donation bin in its shop for the 15th annual Dorset Echo Christmas Toy Appeal.
We are asking local shops and businesses to help us provide many toys and Christmas gifts for underprivileged youngsters in the area.
Manager of Value House, Lee Mitchell, said: “It is something we are always keen to do. We have been doing it for about the last eight or nine years since we opened and we are very keen to be involved because it is such a good cause for local children who may not get a lot at Christmas this year. We, as a company, always top up the toy bin but the more we can get the better, so we hope lots of customers will come down and help fill it up.
“We’ve already got quite a few donations already, it is amazing how generous people can be at this time of the year.”
How to donate to the toy appeal:
We are looking for 30 businesses to donate £100 each for our appeal.
This has been amazingly successful in previous years and has been the main way that the toy appeal has been able to provide so many toys and gifts to needy children.
Each donation is gratefully received and all those donating £100 will be featured in the Echo.
