EMERGENCY services were called to a single-vehicle collision at 10.20am today at Cockpit Hill in Pilsdon, near Beaminster.
Fire crews from Beaminster and Charmouth attended the incident.
They found a car on its roof which had one male passenger inside who was trapped by his seatbelt.
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to access the man and cut him free.
The air ambulance and land ambulance also attended and the man was taken to hospital.
Crews made the vehicle safe and the situation was under control just before 11am.
