PORTLAND pupils have enjoyed an intergalactic message after a special visitor sent a message to the school.
Parents and pupils at the Isle of Portland Aldridge Community Academy welcomed Derek the Dalek, a full-size working replica, to their Southwell Campus.
Derek sent a message to a member of staff who posted it on the IPACA Facebook page and was amazed to find that more than 2,500 people had tuned into his greetings.
IPACA pupil Beth said: “I think Derek is really funny and his message proves that all Daleks aren’t bad.”
IPACA’s Director of Change and Innovation, Gary Spracklen, said: “I was really surprised when a message from a Dalek landed in my inbox.
“Rather than report it to the Doctor, I understand he had gone back to Gallifrey for the holidays, I decided to post it on our Facebook page.”
You can hear the message by finding the IPACA on Facebook.
