WEATHER warnings have been issued for tonight.
An amber ‘be prepared’ warning has been issued by the Met Office for snow, ice and wind.
The Met Office says strong northwesterly winds, with gusts of up to 70mph along the coast, will be felt across the area tonight.
The wind warning is in place from 10pm until 7am tomorrow morning.
It is due to a ‘small but vigorous’ area of low pressure moving down the Irish Sea which will affect South West parts of England and Wales.
The Met Office says: ‘The public should be aware of the possibility of disruption to travel, with difficult driving conditions, particularly for high-sided vehicles.’ Wintry showers- a mix of rain, sleet and snow and hail- could also be expected overnight.
The snow and ice warning is in place until 11am tomorrow.
The 9.50am return Condor crossing to the Channel Islands is cancelled due to the expected adverse weather.
