POLICE have renewed their appeal to try and trace a missing Dorset man.

Gary Williams, 44, was last seen on Friday, March 20.

Mr Williams, from Blandford, was last seen after a night out with colleagues in Milton Keynes.

He is described as white, slim, 6ft, with grey/black hair which is thin on top and longer at the sides. He was last seen wearing black shoes, black trousers and a black zip-up cardigan.

He is believed to have been carrying a duffle bag, possibly green.

Following a night out with work colleagues in Milton Keynes, Mr Williams was seen to return to his hotel just after 3am, but left the hotel less than an hour later carrying a duffle bag.

Police believe he may be in Dorset or in the Milton Keynes area.

Inspector Lee Brace, leading the search, said: “We are increasingly worried about Gary, as he has now been missing for more than a week. He may have been under the influence of alcohol when he left his hotel as he had been on a night out, and we do not believe he has access to a mobile phone, car or much money.

“Gary has not been heard from or seen since last Friday and it is vital that we trace him to check he is safe and well.

“Gary was staying in Shenley Church End for work and lives in Dorset, so has no great knowledge of the area. “However, we know that he does like to walk and so we would ask motorists in particular to let us know if they see a man answering Gary’s description walking along side any major roads.”

He added: “I would urge anyone who sees a man matching Gary’s description to contact us. Gary, if you see this appeal, please get in touch with us. You are not in any trouble, we just need to know that you are safe.”

Anyone with information should contact Insp Brace via the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting 862 20/3.
