FOOTBALLER David Speedie is due in court today after a disturbance at

the four-star Grand Hotel, St Helier, Jersey. Police said that Speedie,

32, a former Scotland international, was charged with being disorderly

on licensed premises after officers were called to an incident at the

hotel yesterday. His team, Southampton, play a friendly against a local

team today after losing 2-1 at home to QPR on Saturday, during which

Speedie was involved in a fracas with a fan who had run on to the pitch.
