FOUR people have been injured following a two-car collision on the A351 near Corfe Castle.

Dorset Police were called to the incident at 11.50am on the A351 in Stoborough following the collision, which involved a green Volkswagen Polo and a blue Ford Fiesta.

Police closed the road in both directions between the B3075 Corfe Road junction and The Roundabout near Norden Farm junction following the incident, and Dorset Fire and Rescue Service and the ambulance service were also called to the scene.

The road has since been reopened.

A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said three people were being treated at the scene for injuries and one person was being taken to hospital, although it was unclear how serious the injuries were.

The spokesman added that the casualty being taken to hospital had to be cut out of their car.
