A MAN has admitted a charge of wounding with intent in relation to a stabbing incident in Weymouth town centre.
David John Goodings, aged 41, was warned he faces a ‘long prison sentence’ after admitted the charge as well as two other offences when he appeared at Dorchester Crown Court.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge of wounding with intent relating to an incident on January 25 this year.
He also admitted a charge of attempted wounding with intent on the same night.
Goodings, of no fixed abode, entered a further guilty plea to another offence of wounding with intent on June 6.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report and a psychiatric report to be prepared.
Goodings was remanded in custody and will return to court to be sentenced on June 18.
Recorder James Waddington told the defendant: “As you know a long prison sentence is inevitable as a result of these offences.”
