Train lines between Weymouth and Wareham are set to re-open shortly following an earlier obstruction.
Buses were replacing trains between Wareham and Weymouth after a metal object was blown on to the track.
The 2.20pm Weymouth to Waterloo service was being delayed at Moreton after it came in to contact with a metal object.
The object is believed to be a tent and to have also caused a small fire.
Trains were unable to run in the London bound direction.
As the obstruction is metal, the power to the trains in the area has been affected.
