Taking place tomorrow, the procession's theme is Around the World.

The fun starts tonight from 6pm with Party in the Park in the Borough Gardens.

The headline act is Elijah Wolf from Bridport band The Gravity Drive and support comes from Luc Warner-Lee.

Tomorrow enjoy a street fair in South Street, a workshop with junk band Weapons of Sound from 2pm in New Street and a convoy of vintage vehicles will head out from Brewery Square at 5.30pm followed by the main procession.

*BRING all the family on Sunday for a community fun day in Poundbury held by Dorchester Town Football Club.

It will be on the Great Field in Poundbury from 10am to 5pm.

There will be fun and games for all including stalls galore, live music, dancing, a fun dog show, bouncy castles and fairground rides.

*ARMED Forces Day celebrations are taking place in Weymouth this weekend.

Tomorrow will see a historic military vehicles display and convoy with a flypast.

AJ's Big Band will be performing at Weymouth Pavilion tomorrow evening from 7pm. Tickets cost £14.

On Sunday from 11am there will be an open air church service at the Weymouth Cenotaph on The Esplanade, a veterans parade along the seafront and a vehicle convoy and display. In the afternoon there will be band performances on the Weymouth Pavilion forecourt.

*BEN Waters will be giving a toe-tapping performance in the Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis tonight.

Described by Jools Holland as ‘one of my favourite piano players of all time’, Ben Waters is recognised worldwide as being one of the leading professional musicians and performers of his generation.

*ENJOY some tuneful stories this afternoon at Hardy's Cottage in Higher Bockhampton near Dorchester.

Tim Laycock will be regaling Hardy fans with poetry and music from 1pm to 4pm.

*HAVE a blooming good time with flower festival A Stitch in Time, at St Mary's Church, Puddletown, near Dorchester, tomorrow and Sunday.

There will be a programme of music in the church by organists, singers and handbell ringers.

On Saturday the church is open from 11 am to 5.30 pm and on Sunday it's open from 2pm to 5.30pm.

*GET a taste of the action with a Music and Food Festival at Corscombe Court, opposite the Fox Inn, Corscombe, from 1pm to 11pm.

Entry is £2 and children under 11 go free.

*EXPERIENCE the fun of the fete at Chettle, near Blandford Forum, with the village fete tomorrow from 12pm.

It promises delicious food, stupendous prizes to be won, ice-cream, animals, booze and wacky art. Money will be raised for local, national and international causes.
