Firefighters tackle field blaze in Weymouth
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire in a field off Markham Avenue in Weymouth.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the blaze at 5.53am this morning and one crew from Weymouth fire station attended the scene.
On arrival the crew discovered that there were five bales of hay alight.
The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets and beaters.
