THE STORY of Jonny Wilkinson's famous World Cup winning drop goal will be told in a stage show coming to Dorchester.

To tie in with the upcoming 2015 Rugby World Cup, Live Wire Theatre is brining its production of Hands Up for Jonny Wilkinson's Right Boot to the Corn Exchange on Wednesday, October 7.

The fast paced comedy promised rhyme and physical theatre from four actors who swap roles with breakneck speed.

They aim to bring some of rugby's greatest players to life with the performance featuring the All Black's Haka and Wilkinson's golden moment.

The show also takes a look at how rugby was dominated in its early years by British public schools, and excluded players from the working classes or ethnic minorities in its determination to remain an amateur game.
