Fire crews tackle embankment fire at Swanage Railway
Firefighters tackled a fire on a railway embankment.
Crews were called at 1.45pm yesterday to the small fire on the embankment of the railway line at Harmans Cross, Swanage.
When they arrived they found the bank alight and worked track side to extinguish the blaze.
Swanage Railway were contacted to instruct all trains to proceed with caution along the area.
The fire was extinguished by 2.40pm.
