HAVE your say on the road system in Littlemoor.

Weymouth and Portland Borough Councillor for the Littlemoor ward, Mark Tewkesbury, is organising a public meeting in the area to discuss issues including the speed limit through Littlemoor.

The event will take place at St Francis Church Hall on Littlemoor Road from 6.30pm to 7.30pm on Friday, August 7.

He said that Littlemoor used to be a 30mph speed limit and now it was 40mph, then went back to 30mph at Preston.

Cllr Tewkesbury said: “I’m asking residents to attend to discuss issues regarding the speed limit on Littlemoor Road. "Residents said they are concerned about getting out onto the road and the speed limit.”

He added that residents had spoken to him about their concerns about getting out onto Littlemoor Road from Louviers Road.

Cllr Tewkesbury urged residents to come along and make their voices heard.

He said: “Come along and it’s going to be an open forum meeting. I’ll listen to their concerns and take it away to Dorset County Council and see what can be done.”
