THIS postcard collection by Derek Pride has taken us on a tour of some of Dorchester's most cherished spots.
The first is a lovely street scene of Cornhill in the county town in the 1950s.
You can see that all of the men in the photo have got hats on.
In the next postcard we can see the initial and very exciting excavation of the Roman Town House in Dorchester in the 1930s.
The building of County Hall started in 1937 but was put on hold during the First World War.
