POLICE are urging Purbeck residents to be vigilant after a burglary in Swanage.
Officers at Purbeck Police said the incident had happened at some point between Tuesday and Thursday at a bungalow in D'Urberville Drive.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “A bedroom window at the rear of the property has been forced open and entry has been gained. It is uncertain what, if anything, has been taken.
“The occupants were not in at the time. An untidy search of the address has been made.”
He added: “Please ensure that you remain vigilant and report anything or anyone you feel may be suspicious with as much detail as possible. Please take the opportunity to review your home security and keep an eye on each others properties.
“Particularly if your neighbours homes will be empty for a period of time.”
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Dorset Police on 101 quoting crime 68229.
