PASSENGERS of South West Trains could experience delays until later in the day due to a ‘trespass incident’ between Basingstoke and Fleet.

Services including those to and from Weymouth, Upwey, Dorchester south and Moreton have been affected due to the incident which happened this morning.

The train lines have recently been reopened between Basingstoke and Fleet following alterations to journeys in the South West throughout the morning due to the incident.

The incident has altered journeys on the South Western Mainline including the London Waterloo to Weymouth service at 9.35am.

A spokesman for South West Trains said: “All lines have now reopened between Basingstoke and Fleet following a trespass incident between the stations.

“Whilst services recover journeys between Basingstoke and Woking may be delayed by up to 60 minutes."

Disruption is expected to continue until approximately 4pm.
