A BULL described as the bovine equivalent of Daniel Craig is set to make a guest appearance at this year’s Dorset County Show.

Iceman, a British Blonde Bull, is well known across the country for his rippling muscles and his trim physique.

The multi award-winning bull belongs to Robin Joyce of Moigne Combe Farm, Crossways, Dorchester.

Mr Joyce said there were several characteristics that made Iceman the cream of the crop.

He said: “Lean muscles, strong shoulders, sturdy feet and legs are his key attributes. He is also very reliable in the field and that always helps. Iceman is pretty chilled most of the time. He’s happy to hang out at this time of year at shows, eating his cow cake and brewer’s grains and going for walks to stretch his legs.”

British Blondes can be traced back as a breed as far as the Middle Ages. They were used to pull carts carrying weapons and goods. They are known for being a large strong cattle with a docile nature and very easy to keep. British Blonde heifers give birth easily and have calves which grow quickly and live for a long time.

Whilst appearing at this year’s show, Iceman will be the subject of a charity competition raising money for Breast Cancer Now.

Visitors will be invited to guess the weight of Iceman, with each guess requiring a £1 fee. The entrant who guesses closest to Iceman’s actual weight will win £50. Iceman can be located in the cattle tent at the Dorset County Show.
