MOTORISTS are facing traffic delays in Weymouth after a bus crashed into railings.

The incident happened shortly before 10am this morning when the bus collided with some railings between the Kings Street junction and the Custom House Quay junction along the Esplanade.

It is understood that nobody was injured in the incident.

There are traffic delays in the area following the crash, and motorists are warned to expect some delays.

A spokesman for Dorset Police confirmed they were called to the incident but were not investigating the incident as nobody had been injured.

Motorists are also facing heavy traffic around Weymouth town centre this lunchtime.

There is slow traffic on the A354 Weymouth Relief Road northbound, between the Jurassic Roundabout in Upwey and the Football Ground Roundabout in Winterborne Monkton.

The A35 eastbound, between the Monkeys Jump Roundabout in Dorchester and the Troy town turn off in Bockhampton, is also congested.
