THE Dorset Local Access Forum (DLAF) is recruiting new members to help them develop and improve the county’s public paths and green spaces.
Established in 2002, the DLAF is an independent, statutory body providing advice to various organisations. Its current work includes shaping management and maintenance policy, agreeing the route of the Dorset coast path and improving links between Public Rights of Way and public transport.
It is particularly keen to hear from people who enjoy using paths and public green space, owners, occupiers and managers of land.
The forum is likely to meet at least three times a year, with additional training and working groups as required. Certain expenses and allowances can be claimed.
Application forms can be downloaded from dorsetforyou.com or by telephoning Jason Read at Dorset County Council on 01305 224190.
The closing date is Friday, September 11.
