BOURNEMOUTH-based private equity specialist the Clark Group has invested in an exclusive juice brand, which runs juice bars across London.

The Clark Group was advised by Dorset law firm Steele Raymond LLP as it looked to support Press London, which has cold-pressed juice bars in upmarket areas of London and a concession in Selfridges.

The investment from Clark Group will enable Press London to maintain its impressive track record of growth and bring its products to a wider audience.

Steele Raymond’s top commercial team supported the deal with its specialist expertise in Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS) - designed to help companies raise equity finance by offering tax reliefs to individual investors who purchase new shares in those companies.

The transaction was led by company and commercial partner Nick Davies, who said: "We were pleased to support the Clark Group on this strategic investment in Press London, a fast-growing London brand which has carved out a strong niche in London.

"It is the latest of many transactions we’ve supported Clark Group on during seven years of working together, including recent investments in premium designer shoe brand Mr. Hare and nutritional supplement brand Wild Nutrition.

"Press London is yet another exciting consumer brand and we’ll look forward to seeing it expand into new markets with Clark’s expert backing."

Steve Siggs, finance director at the Clark Group, added: "Steele Raymond’s advice and assistance was as invaluable as ever in completing this acquisition. We have worked with Nick and the Steele Raymond team many times over the years and they always provide a comprehensive top tier service which we know and trust as the best in the region."
