FIREFIGHTERS were forced to extinguish an out of control bonfire as they returned to the station following a training drill.
At 7.49pm this evening, one crew from Maiden Newton were returning from a drill when they spotted an out of control fire in Dorchester.
Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Shortly before at 7.24pm, Dorset Fire and Rescue Service was called to a smell of burning on Gentian Way in Weymouth.
One crew from Weymouth attended the incident, but it turned out to be a false alarm.
