FIVE people have been taken to hospital after a four car crash on the Weymouth Relief Road.
The A354 is now re-open and traffic is moving in the area.
A Dorset Police spokesman said the injuries sustained were minor and there were two seperate car crashes on the same stretch of road in quick succession.
It happened on the southbound carriageway and police and paramedics were called at around 8.22am.
The cars involved were a blue Ford Fiesta registered to a Dorchester woman and a grey Hyundai also registered to a Dorchester woman.
Shortly after a white Ford Transit van registered to a company from Poole was in collision with a silver Volvo registered to a company from Milton Keynes.
The A354 Monkton Hill was blocked and there was queuing traffic in both directions between the Jurassic Roundabout in Upwey and the Football Ground Roundabout in Dorchester, because of the crash.
A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service said there are two casualties with neck injuries and six casualties with injuries.
All vehicles involved in the crash were recovered by 10.15am and emergency services left the scene shortly after.
