ACTRESS Lisa Riley is set to launch her own clothing range in Dorchester.

Lisa is working with Elaine Keetch, of Figure Eight, to launch the label ‘JUST BE YOU’.

Figure Eight is an independent fashion boutique based in Tudor Arcade which specialises in stylish women’s clothing.

Discussing the partnership, Lisa said: “For years now it is something I have always dreamt would happen, but never knew how to start, or even where to begin.

“After working for many high street plus size stores, but only as a style guru, of course I wanted more than that. I really wanted people to wear my clothes.

“Whatever I wore on TV or in magazines created such positive feedback that – bing – a light bulb went off in my head.

“I had many ideas as you can only imagine, and it’s like the saying goes, ‘When you stop looking, it lands on your doorstep.’”

Elaine approached Lisa’s manager in February to see if she’d like to collaborate, with Elaine acting as the designer and producer behind it.

Lisa said she Elaine both sung from the same hymn sheet and that working together over the past few months had been an exciting time.

Lisa said she was keen for the collection to suit women of all shapes and enable them to feel confident and beautiful.

She said: “Myself and Elaine pride ourselves that we are different. We are not mass market being made abroad. We are making every single garment in the UK and we can shout out loud saying how proud we are to be British, and so are our collections, the JUST BE YOU label.”

The TV star will be visiting the store next Thursday to show off her new clothing range and sign copies of her new book, ‘Never Judge a Book by its Cover’. She will be at the store from 12pm.
