AROUND 1,500 people flocked to Wareham for this year's 'Monster Bonfire & Fireworks' extravaganza.
Crowds enjoyed a £2,000 fireworks display, with funds from the event set to be ploughed back into local charities, organisations and sports clubs.
Event organiser David Burgess told the Advertiser: "It was good, a great night. The weather was great and the fireworks were brilliant. The fire shows went well. It brightened up and there was not a speck of rain all night."
Wareham Wednesdays' Monster Bonfire & Fireworks night took place on October 30 at Swanage & Wareham RFC, Bestwall Road, Wareham.
The Halloween event also included a fancy dress competition, live music, a funfair, food stalls and BBQ.
Mr Burgess explained: "It is a charity event, we organise events throughout the year and they are all totalled up and we normally make around £10,000 or so and give it back to the community in different ways.
"The firework display was awesome, we had some new fireworks in there and the crowd absolutely loved it."
