EMERGENCY services were called into action after reports of a man injured at a Weymouth car park this morning.
Police and the ambulance service were called to the Harbourside car park off Commercial Road and the man was given medical assistance.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said that they were alerted at 8.34am to reports of an injured male in the area of the car park.
They said that at this stage they were not able to give any details on the extent of the man's injuries or how they had been caused.
The spokesman said that the man was 'conscious and breathing' and was left in the care of the ambulance crew.
A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service confirmed that they were called to the location at 8.34am and a male was taken to Dorset County Hospital.
