We've got a plethora of activities and events to draw your attention to in the coming week as half-term is upon us.

And for those who wish to do something further for Valentine's Day on Sunday, look no further....

*ENJOY a romantic afternoon of beautiful classical guitar music.

One of the UK’s most recorded classical guitarists, Craig Ogden, is performing at Dorchester Corn Exchange on Sunday from 3pm.

Contact Dorchester Arts for tickets.

*A MONSTROUS and batty tale of the undead is making its way to Ibberton tonight and Broadmayne tomorrow.

Dave Mynne's Dracula is a one-man performance full of blood and bats, garlic and gore and lunatics and flies.

They're all here in this brand-new adaptation of Bram Stoker's gothic pot-boiler which comes to Dorset courtesy of Artsreach...

Call 01258 860319 for tickets to the Ibberton show, which starts at 8pm, or 01305 854205 for tickets to the Broadmayne show, which starts at 7.30pm.

*WHAT does the British coastline mean to you?

Although terribly wind-ravaged and battered to us all at this time of year, you might find the answer at the Coastline exhibition at the Town Mill, Lyme Regis, which is open daily until March 2 from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

*A CHARITY fundraiser in aid of prostate cancer causes is being thrown at the Tithe Barn in Symondsbury tonight from 7pm.

Live party band Mr Jean will be performing.

Tickets cost £5 per person and are available from the Estate Office.

*EXPERIENCE music brought to life as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra perform Heroes and Aliens at Lighthouse, Poole from 7.30pm tomorrow.

This blockbuster concert will feature music from some of the most iconic and successful space movies of all time, including Apollo 13, Star Wars, Star Trek, ET, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Avatar and War of the Worlds.

*IN honour of Cider Week, raise a glass of the sweet stuff while taking a ride on the Jurassic Skyline.

Beginning tomorrow and running until February 21, experience a flight 174ft above Weymouth with a glass of Dorset Nectar artisan cider.

Rides can be taken any day between 11am and 4pm. See jurassicskyline.com for details.

*HEAR an eclectic mix of music and pay what you like for it.

The Watkins and Swarbrick Band will perform at Portesham Village Hall tomorrow evening from 7.30pm.

Ken Watkins and Simon Swarbrick are both multi-instrumentalists who have an enduring musical affinity that translates into a truly moving performance.

There are no tickets, but you should ring 01305 837299 to reserve your seats.

There is no bar at the venue but you are welcome to bring your own drinks.

*HALF-TERM activities are taking place at attractions across the county.

At the Keep Military Museum in Dorchester, find out what goes on behind the scenes.

There is no extra cost after the museum admittance fee for the tours, which are open to everyone on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11.30am and 2pm.

In addition, children visiting the Keep can get in free if they dress in any kind of camouflage. There are free children's trails available as well as the Trench Experience and the magnificent view from the roof. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

How about bringing a teddy to have a go at a Zip Wire challenge at Corfe Castle? There will also be a themed quest around the castle called Romance and Courtship.

Or how about finding out more about desert warfare and the 25th anniversary of the Gulf War at the Tank Museum Bovington?

You might even fancy a trip to Brownsea Island where youngsters can make the most of a natural play area with pine cone shies, obstacles and much more.

The island is open at the weekend from 10am to 4pm.
