Firefighters respond to cooker fire in Weymouth after cardboard left on hob
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a property in Weymouth following reports of a cooker fire.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service attended an address at Rochester Court, Canterbury Close earlier this evening at around 6.50pm.
A crew from Weymouth Fire Station attended but the fire was out on arrival.
A spokesman for the service said: "[The fire] was caused by cardboard left on the cooker top. It was out on arrival.
"We went on to do an inspection to make sure everything was safe and ok."
