TODDLERS in Fordington will be bopping away when a popular dance set up opens a second group in the Dorchester.

Fizzy Boppers, which currently runs popular weekly sessions in the Corn Exchange, is starting new sessions in St George's Hall in Fordington on Tuesdays during term time from April 12.

The group said it had a number of requests to open more groups in the area and was delighted to respond with the sessions in Fordington.

A spokesman for Fizzy Boppers said: "We are very excited about opening a second Fizzy Boppers group in Dorchester.

"So many wonderful families attend our current sessions in the Corn Exchange and we are extremely delighted to secure another fantastic Dorchester location which offers families an alternative day to bop!

"We are also very thankful for support from the local SureStart team who have encouraged us wholeheartedly along our journey."

Fizzy Boppers offer high-energy, maximum fun music and dance sessions for children up to the age of five.

Now a Community Interest Company, it was created by four mums from Maiden Newton - Georgie Easton, Julia Dodds, Kelly Critchell and Kim Sibley in 2013 and has been expanding ever since as demand increases.

Another mum, Sarah Ridout, now bops along at groups too to help the team.

Each session combines catchy action songs with props and instruments and a themed dance section which changes every 10 weeks.

So far Fizzy Boppers have danced to a huge variety of themes including blasting off into space, Strictly Come Dancing, Country and Western and a visit to the farm.

Fizzy Boppers began and still runs in Maiden Newton but due to popular demand other groups swiftly opened in Netherbury, Dorchester and Bridport.
