It will raise funds for Dorchester Community Nursery School and the Purbeck Ward, Dorchester.

Weymouth Golf Club in Links Road is having a family afternoon on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.

During this free day out, test your skills on the putting green and driving range for fun.

Get some tips and test yourself against some of Weymouth’s best golfers.

There will be a free bouncy castle and face painting. There will also be a variety of stalls, games and a tombola along with live music and karaoke.

*Smedmore House in Kimmeridge is open on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.

The house, with its beautiful gardens and spectacular sea views of the Jurassic Coast, is a hidden gem on the Jurassic coast.

Proceeds will go to the Motor Neurone Disease Association. As well as guided tours of this historic house, there will be craft, plant, tombola and games stalls in the garden and tea with home made cakes in the courtyard with entertainment provided by Wareham Town Band.

Entrance is £5 and children are free.

*GERARD and the Watchmen will perform at the Corn Exchange in Dorchester on Sunday from 8pm.

The band have toured extensively throughout the UK with highlights including the Cambridge Folk Festival, Peace and Love Festival (In Sweden) and the Moselely Folk Festival.

Tickets cost £8 or £6 for Dorchester Arts members or concessions.

*Combine a love of beer and trains with the Diesel Gala and Beer Festival at Swanage Railway this weekend.

Beginning today and ending Sunday, there will be an impressive line-up of diesel locomotives over the weekend.

*OPEN up your mind with the Health, Wellbeing and Spirit Fayre at Digby Hall in Sherborne from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

This free event features fully qualified, professional therapists, stalls and world class readers.

There will be medium sessions in the evening with Marcus Burnett, for which tickets cost £12.

*ENJOY an Animal Festival at Kingston Maurward College near Dorchester on Sunday.

The day takes place between 10am and 4pm.

Events include a fun dog show, dog grooming, a pet photo competition, ferret racing, pony rides, reptile encounters and birds of prey.

The event will raise money for The Donkey Sanctuary and the East Dorset Bat Rescue and Rehabilitation.
