A YOUNG apprentice at a Dorchester cinema has been praised for her development since being appointed.

Chloe Pitney, aged 21, joined ODEON Dorchester as an apprentice through training provider, Lifetime Training, in 2012.

She now helps head up the team as guest experience supervisor and continues to move on up in customer service and operations management.

Alan Escott, general manager at ODEON Dorchester, said: "It’s been a pleasure to watch Chloe rise through the ranks at ODEON Dorchester. She has come a long way since joining the team and we’re pleased to see her confidence and abilities grow through her position at ODEON Dorchester."

Chloe is supported by the cinema and Lifetime Training to complete the nationally recognised NVQ in management training.

Lifetime Training, established in 1995, offers training programmes in a variety of sectors.

Chloe is expected to complete the qualification in a few months time. Until then, Chloe continues to learn on the job guided by the cinema's management team.

In her role, Chloe is responsible for a variety of duties. This includes supporting the general manager in all aspects of the operation of the cinema, ensuring the delivery of first-class customer service.

ODEON Dorchester, which is based in Brewery Square, has provided training opportunities to those living locally since opening in 2012.

Commenting on her role, Chloe said: "I’m delighted I’ve nearly finished my NVQ. The ODEON Dorchester team has been so supportive and I’m so proud to be a part of the ODEON Dorchester family."
