A PAIR of fundraisers have unfinished business to attend to when they take on a epic charity challenge this weekend.

Sarah-Jane Dale, from Dorchester, and Victoria Peel, from Weymouth, are taking on one of the nation's toughest endurance challenges when they take on a 100km route from London to Brighton on foot.

The duo will leave Richmond Park in London on Saturday morning and will run, jog or walk through the night before arriving at Brighton Race Course the following morning.

The two mums, who will be cheered on by their husbands and children, met watching their sons play for Dorchester Rugby Club and first took on the challenge last year, having previously taken on a 26-mile Moonwalk.

However, Victoria was forced to pull out after with injury three-quarters of the way through so she is determined to complete the course this time round while Sarah-Jane finished in 27 hours and is now aiming to do it in under 24 hours this time round.

Sarah-Jane, who is 52, said: "Victoria had to pull out at 75km last year so she's determined to finish it this year and I'm determined to do it in under 24 hours."

Sarah-Jane said the pair had been building up their training gradually over recent months and last weekend took on a 33-mile walk from Durdle Door to Weymouth, up to Hardy's Monument and on to Evershot.

She said: "Two thirds of the route we will be doing is off road so we are making sure our training this year is predominantly off road."

Between them the pair are aiming to raise £1,000 for charity with Sarah-Jane supporting the British Heart Foundation and Victoria raising funds for CLIC Sargent.
