POLICE were called to a roundabout in Dorchester after a deer was hit by a car.
The incident happened at 9.24am close to the Jehovah's Witness meeting house by Tesco in Dorchester.
A unit from Dorset Police was sent to the scene and directed traffic around the animal.
The local authority was informed so that they could arrange removal of the deer.
