ROLL UP, roll up and grab your tickets to Ella Fest before they run out!

That’s the message from organisers of the festival celebrating the life of Ella Pallister later this month.

Ella, described by her loved ones as a ‘bubbly, vibrant’ young woman who loved to party, was a keen horse-woman who tragically died in a show-jumping accident at the age of 17 in 2013. This month she would have celebrated her 21st birthday and her friends and family created Ella Fest to celebrate her life with a huge party – and everyone is invited.

But festival-goers need to be quick to get their hands on prized tickets – as they are selling like hot cakes.

The festival on Saturday, June 25, will be in Ella’s home village of Portesham, in the field across from where Olds Garage used to be and will open at 2pm. There will be a bar, food, stalls and children’s entertainment.

Brenda Parker, 65, has known Ella and her family since Ella’s mum was five years old. Miss Parker, or ‘Brenna’ as Ella nicknamed her, urged people to grab a ticket quickly to avoid disappointment.

She said: “It’s going to be a fantastic day. This will be a celebration of Ella’s life.”

She added: “In the last week ticket sales have definitely sped up.”

Team Ella P will be wearing pink t-shirts on the day, which was Ella’s favourite colour.

Anyone attending the festival is welcome to wear pink in tribute if they wish to.

Everyone is asked not to bring their own alcohol, as there will be a well-stocked bar and food stalls available.

There will be two stages of music throughout the day, The Leggomen will open the festival and then there will be performances from Wilson, Ansell and Gretel, Till There Was Uke, George and the Red Rangers, Hustle, Slipstream and the WTF Band.

Team Ella P will be raising money in Ella’s memory for the Dorset Air Ambulance. Tickets for the event are available from the Kings Arms pub in Portesham. They are £10 each and under-fives go for free.

Tickets can also be purchased by emailing info@gorselands.co.uk.
