PARENTS, pupils and teachers all got to take in a talk from a world-renowned leadership expert.

Teachers, pupils and parents from IPACA, All Saints School, Budmouth College and Wey Valley School all recently got to attend leadership seminars by speaker Harry Singha.

Mr Singha promotes the philosophy that “leadership is not a role it’s a lifestyle” and has given seminars and speeches across the world.

He has worked and shared a stage with the likes of Jamie Oliver, Lord Alan Sugar, Bill Clinton and Sir Richard Branson.

Now though, he has been speaking and inspiring people in Weymouth and Portland.

The talks were sponsored by the Hansson Chiropractic Centre who said that Mr Singha had bestowed his wealth of knowledge on everyone who attended, giving them the power to enhance and transform their lives.

A talk to parents and carers gave an insight into the emotional tools and strategies that young people can use to improve their wellbeing and life chances.

The talk for pupils at All Saints School was focused on inspiring the young people to believe that they are leaders right now and also share what leadership really is and how to incorporate it in to their lifestyle.

Mr Singha also spoke about how to create effective habits to ensure high performance in any area of life, how to take control of emotions and mood swings and how to become an outstanding leader.

Ten children from Weymouth and Portland will also receive sponsorship to attend the Harry Singha Youth Leadership Summit in November 2016.

The summit is a six-day residential programme for young people aged 13-17 from around the world.

It aims to inspire young people to become even greater leaders and commit to a service project within their community.

There will be a line-up of world class speakers in fields including leadership, learning, health and emotions.

A typical day involves speeches, outdoor activities and team meetings, with this year’s being held somewhere in the UK.

All applicants for the summit need to contact the Hansson Chiropractic Centre who will be selecting the lucky 10.

The centre will also be working closely with the schools and returning to carry out further health and leadership workshops.
