A CYCLIST was taken to hospital following a crash on the A35.
The incident happened just after 8.30am, at the Bakers Arms Roundabout, close to Wareham.
The crash was between A350 Blandford Road and the A351 Lytchett Minster.
The A35 in Upton was partially blocked and traffic queued westbound between the A350 Blandford Road North junction and Bakers Arms Roundabout.
Dorset police said they recieved a call from the ambulance service at 7.55am and were clear of the scene by 8.44am. Officers said it was 'serious injury collision.'
A spokesman said: "We recieved reports of a crash involving a car and a female cyclist. The car involved was a white Nissan leaf registerd to a company from Deptford."
Officers added that there was a lot of traffic around the crash site.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said the cyclist was a 41-year-old woman and she had an arm injury and was also complaining of back pain.
She was taken into Poole Hospital.
