TRAIN lines are now open after trains between Weymouth and Bournemouth were cancelled following a 'major failure'.
Due to 'overrunning engineering works' between the two stations, lines were blocked this morning causing severe disruption to travellers.
The major failure occured on the line between Weymouth and Poole.
Coaches were being put on as a replacement service for travellers.
South West Trains said it was 'sorry for the difficulty this may cause'.
The company said 'residual disruption will persist' until it recovers the service.
